On Feb. 15 and 16, all of Houston woke up to snow and ice. Roads were closed. School was canceled. Everyone who could stay home did.

With more than a million households in Houston without power, heat, and water during the hard freeze, there were many difficult moments and dangerous situations. Fortunately, there was also fun for snow-newbie residents who, when not huddled around a fire, made a memorable day of it. We hope you enjoy their photos.
