Hello. My name is Erik. I’m a white cat with a black “mask.” My owner is a fan of Le Fantôme de l'Opéra by Gaston Leroux. Like Erik in The Phantom of the Opera, I wear my mask to hide a secret past. I started hanging around the Caversham house seven years ago. The residents started leaving food and water out, but I didn’t trust people yet. The food kept appearing day after day. Something was right at this house. I couldn’t put my claw on it. I didn’t like being outside. So, one day I decided to risk an introduction, cat-style – I ran and jumped on her lap. I now live in the house. I spend much of my day sleeping in cozy places and cuddling with the person I’m so glad I took the risk with.
