Friends and family gathered at the home of Brook and Julie Brookshire for an intimate engagement party honoring Frances Moody and Tony Buzbee (pictured, from left). When guests arrived, they were greeted with white masks featuring the engaged couple’s names, hand sanitizer, and a signature cocktail. Tony’s Catering served the bride’s favorites, including truffle risotto, artichoke parmesan salad, and seafood presented in an impressive tower around a customized monogram ice sculpture. A highlight of the evening was when Frances and Tony played the “wedding shoe game.” The future bride and groom sat in chairs, back to back, each holding one of the bride's shoes and one of the groom's shoes. The best man, former Gov. Rick Perry, and maid of honor Caylin Del Papa Wiebe asked an assortment of funny questions including “who made the first move?” and “who is more likely to talk their way out of a speeding ticket?” The couple answered each question by holding up the appropriate shoe. As for who made the first move, the crowd erupted in laughter when Tony held up Frances’ shoe at the same time Frances held up Tony’s.
