Condit academic win

HISD hosted its third elementary University Interscholastic League (UIL) competition. Two hundred and fifty-four students from nine schools competed in subjects ranging from spelling and writing to music and oratory. Condit Elementary’s UIL team won 38 individual medals and three team trophies, resulting in an overall First Place Team Sweepstakes Award. This was Condit’s second first-place win this year. Pictured is fourth grader Shayna Hassid, who won first place in Ready Writing. Condit’s UIL coordinators are parents Amy Hassan and Jessica Hassid.
