Seniors from the Bellaire area – coming from any Houston high school -commemorated their upcoming graduation with the Celebration Drive through the streets of Bellaire on the evening of Thursday, May 13.

The Bellaire Belles, Bellaire High School’s dance team, greeted seniors as they pulled up. The parade of decorated cars began outside of City Hall with Bellaire’s fire and police departments leading the way. Neighbors looked on as seniors honked and waved. The parade went south on S. Rice Avenue, west on Maple, north on Ferris, and then east on Jessamine. The Rotary Club of Bellaire marked the parade route with American flags so residents knew where to stand and watch the parade of seniors.

The Celebration Drive was an idea born out of pandemic times that stuck around because residents enjoyed it so much.

Congrats, Class of 2021!
