At the end of each school year, St. Thomas’ Episcopal high school students take part in many annual traditions from college t-shirt day to spirit week to spring choir and orchestra concerts.

Every year the seniors come up with unique and fun theme ideas for spirit week. This year the themes were ‘Merica Monday, Twin Tuesday, Winning Wednesday, Tie-dye Thursday, and Color Day Friday. For Friday, each class had a color: purple for the freshman, yellow for the sophomores, blue for the juniors, and pink for the seniors.

“My favorite theme was purple day,” said Evann Bilnoski, freshman at STE, said, “We went all out.” Each of the ninth grade girls had a pair of fairy wings and other fun accessories like beads and purple leis.

Along with spirit week, the STE seniors also participated in college t-shirt and pennant day. The seniors revealed what colleges they were attending by wearing their college’s merch and decorating their school skirt in ribbons, glitter, and paint in the colors of their future college.

Senior Alex Kurie enjoyed seeing where her classmates were going to college and taking pictures with her friends.

“I will definitely miss the family aspect of STE the most along with my teachers and friends, and, as hard as it is to admit, I may miss the bagpipes a little,” Alex said.

At first, Alex had a hard time picking between schools, but as the spring semester rolled around, she realized Texas A&M was the place for her. The seniors enjoyed their final days as STE students.

Lastly was the spring choir concert. Although things were a little different this year with a smaller audience and many watching it virtually, the choir concert was a success. Both the day and morning choir students sang an array of songs from "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" to "The Irish Jig".

This year’s end of school year events were better than ever, and we can’t wait for more to come!
