Presbyterian School Lady Panthers

Presbyterian School Lady Panthers

The Presbyterian School Lady Panthers (pictured) defeated The Kinkaid School to win the Houston Junior Preparatory Conference (HJPC) softball championship. After losing to Kinkaid 0-8 in the regular season, the teams met again in the final game, and the Lady Panthers dominated the field with a 7-3 win. Softball is a relatively new sport at Presbyterian School, and 2019 was the team’s inaugural season, followed by the canceled 2020 season. Their re-debut in 2021 was a huge success with the school’s first softball championship. The Lady Panthers are (top row, from left) coach Casey Rosselet, coach Leslie Ukandu, Sophie Phillpott, Warner Stahlbaum, Emily Kopel, Brett Selldin, Bella Woodcox, Hollyn Hanslik, Claire Murray, coach Joe Woodcox, (bottom row, from left) Phoebe Bruchman, Cale Cross, Lara MacFarlane, and Sophie Girotto; not pictured: Macy Mehos.
