The third annual Nine Core Values Luncheon benefiting First Tee of Greater Houston’s youth programs took place at the River Oaks Country Club with nearly 170 in attendance. More than $200,000 was raised from the lunch, chaired by Jessica and Robert Chisolm. The event was emceed by former KPRC sports reporter Lisa Malosky and featured videos recognizing individuals who embody the First Tee’s core values. John W. Johnson was recognized for integrity; Christian Cargile for confidence; Al Grazis for honesty; Gaurdie Banister for respect; Joe Clay for perseverance; Dianne Dixon for courtesy; Garry Brunson for judgment; Massey Villarreal for responsibility; and the memory of Brad Prickett (1974-2019) for sportsmanship. Last year, First Tee – Greater Houston provided opportunities for more than 350,000 local youth who participated in elementary, after school and traditional golf programs.
