Married at McGovern Gardens

Mindy Schultz and Kevin Tofsky married May 2 at McGovern Centennial Gardens. They got engaged in December 2019 and, like many, faced challenges while planning a wedding in the pandemic – they had three wedding dates and three venue changes throughout the process. They even followed advice from close family friends to bury a bottle of bourbon upside down at the venue 30 days before to guarantee no rain. And it worked! The sun came out just in time for their wedding, and they celebrated surrounded by close family and friends. The wedding was officiated by Rabbi David Rosen and Cantor Vadim Tunitsky, followed by a reception under a clear tent with dancing to In10City Band. A horns section followed the bride and groom as they entered a 1976 Excalibur Phaeton, which took them to the Post Oak Hotel. The newlyweds will honeymoon in Cancun in August.
