Tanner Drda, Judson Dowell, and Grant Sperandio (pictured, from left) represented Post Oak Little League (POLL) at the USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS) Champions Cup in Cary, North Carolina. After an extensive tryout process, the players were selected as members of the 13U South Stars team along with other top players from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Kansas. The South Stars battled teams from five other U.S. regions and won the 2021 NTIS Champions Cup after undefeated tournament play. In the championship game, the South Stars played the Southwest Stripes and put together a 7-run fourth inning with consecutive hits from Tanner, Jud, and Grant. Jud pitched the final three innings of the game, allowing no additional runs, and the South Stars secured the 10-4 victory.
