$1 million for the SPCA
The Houston SPCA’s Equine Rescue Arena was transformed into a haunted ballroom for its annual ball, themed Howl-O-Ween. More than 350 – in Halloween costumes and cocktail attire – attended the record-breaking event, which raised more than $1 million for the Houston SPCA. Co-chairs were Zane and Brady Carruth and Ann and Leslie Doggett. The event recognized community honoree Linda McIngvale, mission honorees Westbury Animal Hospital, Jennifer Schechter Rosen, and Harris County Precinct One Constable Alan Rosen, and media honoree KHOU 11. Event emcee was anchor Kimberly Davis. Guests enjoyed performances by Theatre Under the Stars students, including “Thriller,” “The Addams Family,” and the grand finale, “Monster Mash.”
