Megan Rosenthal thought she was attending a family member’s milestone birthday at Westwood Golf Club when Phil Copulsky surprised her by getting down on one knee and proposing. Candles, rose petals, and a violinist from the Houston Symphony all helped set a romantic backdrop. Afterward, the couple celebrated at an engagement party with friends and family, including parents Darrell and Caren Rosenthal and Steven Copulsky and Marie Zehngebot and siblings Brittany Rosenthal, Harrison Rosenthal, and Rachel Copulsky. The couple live in Dallas and met at Chabad there in 2019. They were dating for three months before the pandemic began. Phil, who’s from New York City, ended up quarantining with Megan’s family for three months in Houston, and the rest is history. Megan and Phil plan to marry in early 2023.
