Twain at Pershing
Mark Twain Elementary School fifth graders pitched tents for a fun-filled campout at Pershing Middle School. The campout was organized by Twain’s PTO and included a pizza dinner, donut and kolache breakfast, and lots of entertainment. Saturday kicked off with “Kids’ Squid Game,” courtesy of Twain’s “Mr. Obi” (Obinna Obichuku), a treasure hunt across Pershing’s fields, and some energetic field games. Twain principal Michele Rawson made a guest appearance. As the sun went down, an inflatable movie screen went up with a tribute video from Twain’s teachers. Pictured are Mr. Obi and Mr. Robert Riojas with some of the fifth-grade campers.
