CIS helps kids stay in school

Mary Craddock, gala chair, and Bonner and George Ball (pictured, from left) were among the 600 guests who enjoyed the Stay in School gala benefitting Communities in Schools of Houston (CIS) at the Post Oak Hotel. The benefit honored the life and legacy of Julie Croswell, CIS board member and longtime supporter who mentored CIS students at Lamar High School and Wisdom High School. Following dinner and a program of speakers, guests hit the dance floor with the 80s tribute band the Spazmatics. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the CIS of Houston gala raised $730,000 to support students with the assistance and resources they need to be successful.
