Rising stars in West U

Donna LaMond, Sami Morrison, Doug Huth, Michelle Huth, Kelly Hill, Kimberly Ang, and Susan White (pictured, from left) gathered at Escalante’s in Meyerland Plaza for the City of West University Place’s 2022 Star Citizens Awards and Friends appreciation luncheon. The awards recipients were the 2019, 2020, and 2021 Fathers & Flashlights co-chairs Michelle and Doug Huth, and the 2022 Park Lovers’ Ball co-chairs Kimberly and Dimitri Ang, and Kelly and Blake Hill. Mayor pro tem John Montgomery presented the awards to the honored recipients. The Star Citizens are dedicated to funding park improvements throughout the city of West University Place, including the most recent projects, the Colonial Park Challenge Course, Huffington Park, and Judson Park improvements.
