Ella, age 6

I’m Miss Ella, a six-year-old lab mix living in Memorial Plaza near Rummel Creek Elementary. Houston Pets Alive rescued me from the pound and a next-day euthanasia, and then fostered me until meeting my forever family, Jeanmarie and Gary Craven. I love to run, frolic with other dogs, and swim at Bill Archer Dog Park. I also enjoy chasing Mister Squirrel, taking long walks in the neighborhood, and a couple of daily naps. My bark is ferocious and I am an excellent guard dog. The big picture window in the dining room of my home makes for an excellent place for me to watch the world go by and protect my family. My parents always tell me I’m a good girl and very pretty. Don’t you like the white lightning bolt on my chest? I encourage you to “Adopt, not shop.” Rescue made a big difference in my life!
