The Bellaire Barracudas Swim Team had an excellent 2022 season, with a total of 220 swimmers and every single coach a former Barracuda. Kinsley Sirmans, Zoe Cheng, Emersen Sud, and Madelyn Melville (pictured, from left), all rising fifth graders at Condit Elementary School, celebrated a first-place win in the medley relay. The girls were on the 9-10-year-old girls medley relay team and won first place at their swim meet against the Willow Wahoos. Kinsley swam the breaststroke, Zoe swam the freestyle, Emersen swam the backstroke, and Madelyn swam the butterfly. Their head coach was Sophie McCollum.
