West University Elementary School (WUES) third-grade teacher Megan McClintock and students Maddie McClintock, Alexa Clark, and Abby McClintock (pictured, from left) attended the school’s first annual Positive Behavior Program reception. The social-emotional development program was created to recognize students who display traits like forgiveness, respect, and perseverance throughout the school year. Each month, artists from the school community created canvases that displayed a positive-behavior characteristic, and teachers nominated students who demonstrated that characteristic. The program is led by the Positive Behavior Committee, including WUES wraparound specialist Brian Castle, campus technologist Caryn Barron, PTO president Robyn Goldstein, PTO Positive Behavior Program committee chair Laura Hobeika, and PTO members Amanda Harmon Cooley and Sarah Nelson.
