Smokey, age 10

Hi, I’m Smokey! Summertime is always a new adventure for me. I am not a fan of the Houston heat, so I escape to Lake McQueeney whenever I can. I love a boat ride, and I serve as a proud bow ornament with the wind in my face on a hot summer day. While I can be stubborn at times, I’m as friendly and loyal as any dog could be. I’m gentle and patient with my mom and dad’s three young grandsons and I’m a wonderful dog “uncle.” I am a true Mama’s boy, never far from my mom Holly’s side – my favorite spot is under a blanket on her lap during morning coffee. I am my parents’ second Boston terrier, and I would say I truly represent the breed’s nickname “The American Gentleman.” Some people even think my fur looks like a little coat and tails. My family’s life would not be the same without their Smokey boy!
