Thank you, Karen Harrell
Rummel Creek Elementary School’s beloved librarian Karen Harrell (pictured with students) retired after 32 years. In honor of her dedication to the students and faculty, the RCE Studio, the broadcast location of the school’s morning announcements, was named “Karen Harrell Studio KRCE.” In addition to the studio naming, the Rummel Creek PTA sponsored a Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) scholarship in her name and held a special retirement celebration. Harrell began her education career in 1980 and became a librarian in 1983. She came to the Rummel Creek library in 1990 and stayed with countless grateful students until her retirement.
