In their dancing shoes

Memorial Middle School seventh graders David Sanchez, Collin Davis, Jack Stephenson, and Clay Emery (top row, from left); and Eli Saunders, Bruno Sancio, Griffin Heinike, Levi Ward, Jack Covington, and Sam Dunlap (bottom row, from left) begrudgingly donned their Sunday best to attend an evening with Dance Club West at the Junior League of Houston. Seventh-grade dance club is a rite of passage for many middle schoolers, and these boys participated with classmates for an introduction to ballroom dancing and social skills in a formal setting. Although they pretended to be disinterested, the conversations from the backseat on the drive home revealed they might have had a little bit of fun.
