Mother and daughter Bella and Donae Chramosta (pictured, from left) assembled sack lunches for Kids’ Meals Houston during the Greater Houston Community Foundation’s 2022 Family Philanthropy Day. The annual volunteer event focused on combatting food insecurity in the Houston area, and attendees participated in educational discussions with speakers from Understanding Houston, Kids’ Meals Houston, and Refugee Services Interfaith Ministries. The hands-on, family-friendly service projects included packing meals for Kids’ Meals, packing hygiene kits for refugees for Interfaith Ministries, creating holiday cards for older adults in the Meals on Wheels program, and making holiday/encouragement cards for children in the Refugee Services program with Generation SERVE.
