Climb, conquer, cure
On April 1, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will host the 2023 Big Climb to raise funds for their efforts to cure blood cancers. Pictured, from left, are climbers from last year’s event, including Greg Cohen, LLS staff member and Emery/Weiner School graduate, Maddie Risch, Emery/Weiner student, Annie Liu, Kelsey Hughes, Emery/Weiner teacher, and Erika Pomares. This year’s participants are challenged to climb 50 flights of stairs, to the top of Three Allen Center, in support of blood cancer research and patient support. During the event, climbers will see inspirational stories of survivors and the impact LLS is making, and they will be cheered on by a community of supporters surrounded by energetic music. For more information or to register for Big Climb, see lls.org/big-climb.
