Dancing with the Houston Ballet

Victoria Gutierrez, Nick Pierce, Phoebe Tudor, Leigh Smith, Allison Thacker, and Martha Finger celebrated with 500 other supporters at the 2023 Houston Ballet Ball. Hosted at the Margaret Alkek Williams Center for Dance and benefiting the Houston Ballet, the black-tie event honored the Houston Ballet world premiere of Summer and Smoke, inspired by the Tennessee Williams play of the same name. This year’s ball, chaired by Allison and Troy Thacker, and honoring Hallie Vanderhider, raised $1.5 million for Houston Ballet performances and educational programs. After dinner and a silent auction, Houston Ballet company dancers joined guests on the dance floor to enjoy the music of Big Blast & The Party Masters.
