Hermann Park Conservancy celebrated the 15-year anniversary of the fashionable fundraiser Hats in the Park. Bethany Buchanan, Hallie Vanderhider, Fady Armanious, and Chita Craft (pictured, from left) donned spring hats and joined other supporters in the McGovern Centennial Gardens to raise funds for maintaining and improving Hermann Park. Event co-chairs Kristy Bradshaw, Kelley Lubanko, and Leigh Smith planned the afternoon that raised $520,000 and honored Susie Criner and Ann Short, co-chairs of the first Hats in the Park in 2008. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception followed by an alfresco lunch and an update on the Conservancy’s construction progress. The Commons is currently under construction, and planned updates include a 40-foot rocket ship slide, carousel, and thousands of new plants and trees.
