Rummel Creek cowboys

Rummel Creek Elementary students Trikay Updhe, Oba Odunaiya, and Brij Gupta (pictured, from left) enjoyed the school’s Go Texan Day celebration with classmates. Go Texan Day, the annual kickoff for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo season, is one of the most festive days of the school year. Students, teachers, and staff at Rummel Creek look forward to the event each year and are encouraged to don their boots and hats. Cowboys and cowgirls put on a rodeo-themed show, complete with line dancing, singing, and a chance for parents to join in and show off their moves during the chicken dance.
