The 11th annual Stand Up for Brain Cancer gala welcomed more than 450 guests to the ballroom at River Oaks Country Club to benefit the Broach Foundation for Brain Cancer Research. Meg Bres, Wendy Askew, mistress of ceremonies Ilona Carson, Jamie Broach Byrd, and Dr. Fred Lang laughed with the crowd while listening to comedian Nate Bargatze’s entertainment and enjoyed cocktail hour and dinner. The Broach Foundation was established in honor of James Broach, who lost his battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in 2013. To date, the foundation has raised more than $6 million.
