Publisher's Note - July 2023

We are excited to announce the winners of the 2023 Buzz Photo Contest in this issue. This year, we received more than 1,700 entries from talented amateur photographers from our communities. The quality and diversity of the submissions were truly impressive, and it was a challenge for our judges to select from so many outstanding photos. We want to thank all those who entered for sharing their vision and passion with us. Congratulations to all our winners, and especially to our grand prize winner, 17-year-old Rilina Tran, for her winning photo, A Life of Shelter. This year, in addition to being featured in this issue, online, and through social media, winning photos are also displayed at a special pop-up gallery held at River Oaks District, June 26-30, 12-5 p.m. each day.
