Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston (EGMH) founders Atul Kothari and Devinder and Sushma Mahajan (pictured, from left) attended a preview of the new museum located in southwest Houston (not pictured: founders Manish Kiwani and Rita Kothari). The museum pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and his legacy of nonviolent conflict resolution and is the first of its kind in the United States. Houston’s culturally diverse population makes it the perfect place for the museum that incorporates immersive experiences to teach visitors about peace leaders including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, and Dalai Lama. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Oct. 2, Gandhi’s birthday. For more information, visit egmh.org.
