The Memorial Drive Garden Club had a special addition to its recent meeting held at president Kristi Barnhill’s home. Corresponding secretary Susanna Jeu (pictured, right) presented the lifetime membership award to Barbara Upchurch (pictured, left). This honor is reserved for Garden Club members who have served 25 years, including service on the executive board, and who have been recommended by the current executive board. Barbara joined the club in 1982 and led as president in 1994 and 1995. Few members have earned this top honor, and the club is grateful for Barbara’s many years of dedicated service.
