Elisabeth Nash’s family surprised her with a meaningful 60th-birthday gift: a scholarship fund in her honor. Siblings Helen Bauer and Jonathon Nash (pictured, left and right, with their sister, Elisabeth) worked together with 20 other family members and friends to raise money to establish the Elisabeth G. Nash Scholarship fund for graduating high school students who have served as Genesys Works Houston interns. Elisabeth is on the board of directors for Genesys Works Houston, an organization that assists students in underserved communities. Most scholarship funds are created in memory of someone who has passed away, but the Nash family took a different approach by establishing a scholarship in Elisabeth’s honor that she can be involved with and enjoy. The Nash family and Genesys Works teamed up with the Greater Houston Community Foundation to make the scholarship program a reality.
