Newlyweds Raj Salhotra and Ekta Bery (pictured) celebrated with friends and family during their wedding week. Drumbeats and Bollywood music filled the Omni Hotel as guests celebrated the couple who met in the summer of 2021 after Raj's mom Poonam Salhotra met Ekta’s aunt Anuja Mehta through a local book club in Houston. They traveled to India to shop to prepare for the wedding, and the four-day affair in Houston included traditional festivities like henna art, a baraat (Raj entered the Omni on a horse), choreographed dances, and plenty of Indian food. Raj and Ekta are settling into married life in Bellaire and look forward to a honeymoon in Puerto Rico next year.
