An emerald evening
Houston Treasures honoree Cheryl Byington, Susan and Michael Plank, Steve Lubanko, Warner Roberts, Alicia Smith, Kelley Lubanko and former honoree Beth Wolff enjoyed the 2024 awards gala in the Post Oak Ballroom at the Omni Hotel Houston. The Houston Treasures award, created by Warner Roberts in 2004, honors people who contribute to the community through philanthropy, volunteerism, medicine, arts, business, sports, politics, and media. This year’s gala, An Emerald Evening, celebrates 20 years of the award. Roberts opened the evening by welcoming guests and then introduced Reverend Mary Gracely, who gave the evening’s invocation. More than 200 guests brought toys to donate to the children at the Mission of Yahweh and then enjoyed a champagne reception and four-course, seated dinner.
