Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation board members Juliet Stipeche and Maria Bush (pictured, from left, with Browning Elementary third-grade students) celebrated a milestone for the organization’s efforts to inspire a love of reading. The foundation donated its one millionth book to a Houston ISD student through the My Home Library program. More than 400 students at Browning Elementary School selected six new books to read and keep, which included the one millionth book since the My Home Library program began in 2017. Iconic children’s literary characters Clifford and Dog Man were in attendance to celebrate the special occasion.
