Most Houstonians can pull off wearing a cowboy hat, but you know it’s Rodeo time when even the city slickers are sporting them in Houston City Limits! The 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is officially here! Buzz neighbors and friends welcomed this year’s event with lots of Texan fun. See below for a photo slideshow of Houstonians kicking off Rodeo season.

Come out and enjoy all the Rodeo excitement through March 17. Cowboy hats optional (but Western gear highly encouraged!).

Editor’s note: Get in the Rodeo spirit with these stories from our March 2024 issue: Works of Rodeo Art: Talented students honored for their art pieces by Karen Vine Fuller, Corn Dogs and Vino: Pairing rodeo food and wine by Dai Huynh, and Rodeo-ing with little ones by Annie McQueen.
