Owen Worley and Kenley Steeg were among the more than 600 energy sector leaders from Houston and across the country at the 19th Annual Oil & Gas Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament benefiting YES Prep Public Schools. The record-breaking event at Corinthian Houston ran late into the evening and raised more than $2.2 million to support YES Prep’s 18,500 students at 23 campuses across Houston. While players contemplated whether to hold ‘em or fold ‘em, they made their way through the macaroni-and-cheese bar and enjoyed Nashville hot chicken sliders and Carolina smoked pork sliders. The annual event began in 2006 and has raised more than $22 million since then. This year’s event was organized by committee members Aaron Byrd, Marisa Chavarria, Brian Colona, Michol Ecklund, Austin Elam, Mike Miller, Jeffrey Millstein, Steve Mohtashami, and Bill Nelson. At the end of the night, tournament emcee Bill Heuer of iHostPoker crowned Kenley Steeg the winner.
