Party on the block

Chestnut Street in Bellaire was the place to be for the second-annual neighborhood block party. After the success of last year’s party, neighbors got together to make this year’s event even bigger. Neighbors stuffed Easter eggs for children to hunt up and down the street and in people’s yards, and everyone enjoyed a potluck meal with homemade desserts. Chestnut Street residents were excited about the special visit from Bellaire firefighters, police officers, and EMT. Some children got to board a firetruck and learn about the life-saving equipment first responders use to protect the community.
