It was a night to remember for The Post Oak Hotel’s Executive Chef Jean-Luc Royere. Former French President François Hollande, Royere, and Tilman Fertitta (pictured, from left) were joined by Royere’s family and the hotel’s culinary team for a special award ceremony. The former French president presented Royere with the Ordre du Mérite agricole (Order of Agricultural Merit), an honor the French Republic gives to French citizens for outstanding contributions to agriculture and the culinary arts. During an intimate ceremony, Royere received the medal and Fertitta spoke to the group. The honor given to Royere is the second highest ranking award in the French Republic, just behind the Legion of Honour.
