A group of Wilchester Elementary graduating fifth graders and their dads (pictured) gathered for their last “Rock Solid” meeting. Each month, the father-son group meets before school for camaraderie and spiritual guidance. The group, known as “Rock Solid,” is a dad-led get together at the home of David and Challie Sherill that begins with breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by a 10-minute group lesson. Participants then break into smaller groups to discuss the lesson before heading off to school. The beloved tradition began in 2004 as a girls’ Bible study and transitioned to a father-son event in 2012.
