Life enrichment for seniors
Life Enrichment of Houston (LEOH) announced its fall meeting schedule. Bill Grimes, Julie Larson, Joe Frederick, Patsy Frederick, Tom Williams, Sandra Williams, Jennifer Stone, and Mary Mahon (pictured, from left) are among the more than 100 members of the nonprofit organization that welcomes guests ages 50+ for learning and community at Bellaire United Methodist Church. LEOH presents informative speakers followed by a brown-bag lunch and dessert on Thursday mornings, Sept. 19 through Oct. 31. Scheduled speakers include local author Richard Cunningham, who will discuss his latest book on West University Place, Leslie Easterwood, DVM, chief vet for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and Channel 13 chief meteorologist Travis Herzog. In addition to speakers and lunch, LEOH also offers courses in Spanish and watercolor painting, a Bridge group, and monthly trips to sites around Houston. All are invited to register, in-person, with a $25 fee for the full program. For more information, visit leohtexas.org.
