Hi, I’m Ruthann, a.k.a. Rue-Rue. I was adopted from La Grange, so I’m a country girl at heart. I chase butterflies and lizards. I watch birds and squirrels very intently. I love sunshine and a breezy day, but I also love being sprawled out on the floor inside, or in my favorite chair, sleeping on important papers. I always know where my people are, and stay nearby. I have a sweet soft meow to tell them to put the bathroom faucet on; I have a cat water fountain, but I prefer the bathroom sink. Mom says I’m spoiled. Dad says I’m the world’s smartest cat. They almost renamed me Houdini – the first night I came home I escaped from the bathroom, even though the door was shut. After that, I escaped out of a cat carrier, which was also clicked shut. My elusive ways are second nature to me, but if my parents want to call me a genius, I’ll let them.
