Golfing for Lamar

Lamar alumni and community members hit the links at Sharpstown Park Golf Course and raised more than $28,000 to benefit programs at Lamar during the first annual Lamar Alumni Golf Tournament.Participants included (from left) Lamar High School golf coach Gary Kansas, Lamar Class of 2018 graduate and professional golfer Jzeke Dukes, and Lamar Alumni Association members Tina Peters Berry and Fran Callahan. Team Zoë Humphrey players Andre Humphrey, Dominique Allen, and Enrico Callaway took first place, while Team Graham’s Jim Graham, Mark Pieratt, and Enrique Franco won the Oldest Team award. After the successful event, the Alumni Association plans to continue the tradition and welcome everyone back next year for another day of great golf and community spirit.
