Family day of service

While enjoying a day off to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, families (pictured) gathered at Christian Community Service Center (CCSC) for a day of service. Working together in groups, families assembled 1,200 hygiene kits for families who will visit CCSC’s emergency services food pantries. The packages included shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and a first-aid kit. In addition to the service project, volunteers took a tour of CCSC’s clothing and food pantries and learned about how the organization helps people in the community who are facing poverty and joblessness.
