A+ for Ms. Garcia

Becker School teacher Alejandra Garcia (pictured with students) won the 25th Annual Marian and Speros Martel Early Childhood Educator Award. The award is given annually by Children's Museum Houston and the Martel Foundation to an outstanding early childhood educator in the Houston area. Alejandra teaches in a two-year-old classroom at Becker and was selected for her dedication to children and creative learning. Children’s Museum Houston accepts nominations for outstanding early childhood educators and selected finalists are reviewed by a committee of educators and observed in the classroom. Alejandra accepted the award at the ceremony held at the Museum’s Institute for Family Learning and was honored alongside winners from previous years.
