The Barit Family and Carolyn and Jake Sabat and their children enjoyed a day of family fun with more than 450 other guests at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center. Ambassadors for Texas Children’s Hospital 15th annual Family Fun Day was filled with pony rides, art projects, a ninja course, and more, benefiting the Texas Children’s Nursing Talent, Innovation, and Education program. The program gives new graduate nurses the opportunity to develop strategies and overcome fears in managing multiple-patient assignments. Brooke and Scott Hutson chaired the Camp Ambassador event with camp-themed light bites including campfire sliders, firewood franks, cake cones, and ice cream. Supporters had the opportunity to participate in a special rock painting activity, and their masterpieces will be placed in the interfaith chapel at the hospital.
