A feast fit for the Symphony

Houston Symphony Executive Director and CEO Gary Ginstling, Margaret Ginstling, and event chairs Elia and Michael Gabbanelli and Carey Kirkpatrick, Ken and Mady Kades, Daniel Irion and Kirk Kveton and Ann and Jonathan Ayre attended A Bacchanal Feast, the Houston Symphony Wine Dinner and Collector’s Auction, at Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts. Along with collector’s auction chair Jack Matzer, the Gabbanellis led the sold-out event that raised more than $900,000 for Houston Symphony’s education and community engagement initiatives. More than 365 guests enjoyed champagne, wine, and spirits while exploring the silent auction in the ballroom decorated with nods to an ancient Roman castle, featuring florals in shades of red, coral, and pink, and Roman statues draped in greenery. Potente’s Chef Danny Trace prepared a five-course meal with wine pairings presented by Michelin Star Master Sommelier Steven McDonald.
