The Wilchester Wahoos swim team wrapped up a strong 2025 summer swim season, winning three out of their four meets and sending 60 swimmers to the Memorial Spring Branch Swim Conference Meet of Champs. The 9/10 Boys Medley Relay team stood smiling with ribbons after capturing first place in their race. The team included (pictured, from left) William Ramsey (backstroke), Henry Candler (breaststroke), Pearson Danna (butterfly), and Rory Moore (freestyle). Head coaches Bryce Oliphant and Abbilyn McEvoy led the Wilchester Wahoos swim team with assistant coaches, current Stratford High School swimmers. This season, coaches spotlighted one swimmer before each meet who had shown exceptional effort in practice, rewarding them with the opportunity to pie a coach in the face, which was a team favorite. Despite their neighborhood pool being under construction, the Wahoos made the most of the season thanks to the generosity of neighboring communities. Nottingham West Pool and the Memorial West Community Club opened their doors to host practices and meets. The team roster included 207 swimmers.
