2025 National Night Out: Connecting Communities
In Texas, National Night Out takes place the first Tuesday in October every year. National Night Out aims to build neighborhood camaraderie, promote police-community partnerships and, ultimately, make our neighborhoods safer. On National Night Out, neighborhoods host block parties and cookouts with visits from police officers and emergency personnel to increase awareness of police programs and enhance police-community relations. Here, we’ve gathered a list of details for National Night Out in Buzz-area neighborhoods:

West University Place first responders will host the 3rd Annual National Night Out Community Block Party, Tues., Oct. 7, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Colonial Park West End Decks.
West University:
West University Place first responders will host the 3rd Annual National Night Out Community Block Party, Tues., Oct. 7, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Colonial Park West U Decks. The event will include community engagement, entertainment, and an opportunity to engage with local heroes. Witness emergency vehicles up close and take a look at the tools and equipment that first responders utilize daily to ensure the community's safety. Families will enjoy kid-friendly activities and the chance to capture memories with photographs alongside Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol. Child ID and fingerprint services, along with a music zone, balloon artist, and face painting corner, will add to the festivities. Then, cool off with a free snow cone. Interested in volunteering? Contact Officer Wilson at 713-668-0330.
West U residents also have the option to organize individual National Night Out block parties. If neighbors choose to do so, complete the Block Party & Street Closure request form at www.westutx.gov/permitting.
