Introducing the West University Elementary School (WUES) Mighty Mustang Spirit Squad (pictured). Led by teachers Hannah Witcher and Jane Murray (pictured, back, from left) and sponsored by the WUES parent-teacher organization, the new spirit spreaders are busy engaging the entire West U community during the centennial celebration year. WUES mom Jordan Jewett created the squad to provide an opportunity for students interested in school spirit to experience cheer and build self-confidence. Members of the spirit squad led the Centennial Parade and WUES Spirit Week, and will perform in the Rice University Halftime Spirit Night show and host a fall bake sale. (Read more about WUES' centennial celebration here.)
