Local author Jeff Lefkowitz (pictured, fifth from left) joined the Wednesday Sisters Book Club to discuss his recent historical novel. For Three Lines takes readers through the experiences of a Jewish youth group that transforms into a resistance group in World War II-era Poland. The book is endorsed by Dr. Michael Berenbaum, an original project director of the U. S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., who describes For Three Lines as “a work of power and passion that brings to life the world of these young people, [whose] acts of resistance were the very stuff that would shape historical memory.” Pictured with Jeff are Wednesday Sisters members (from left) Joni Mitchell, Cathy Anderson, Sally Rohrbach, Carol Bailey, Sherri Tanner, Colleen Hart, Terry Aven, Linda Barloon, Jan Lusby, and Miriam Cleveland.
